Level 1 Recovery

$85

This recovery level is largely for non-physical recoveries. Typically in this case, your device is corrupted or otherwise damaged in such a a way that a normal computer cannot read it. It requires some type of software repair, and data can be retrieved in a few hours.

Level 2 Recovery

$175

This recovery level is for devices with failing hardware. In most cases it will be a hard drive with many bad sectors that require many recovery passes, and data to manually reassembled. Also falling into this level would be electronic faults. Recoveries that involve PCB replacement, Firmware Corruption, and other low level software intervention.

Level 3 Recovery

$325

This recovery level encompasses everything else. High risk procedures such as Head Replacements and Platter Swaps will be covered. This also includes IC and Controller IC replacement on Solid State Drives.

Frequently Asked Questions: 

Will my recovery be a bunch of unnamed or randomly named files that i will have to sort through? – No, we do full recoveries including full file names, folders, and paths. It will be exactly as you remember it.

I already took my device to Best Buy / Staples / my friend who is super good with computers. They told me it would cost me thousands or is impossible, what do you do different? – Those places do not do real data recovery. Typically they just plug your drive into a PC and try to copy and paste the files. At best they may run something like Rsync, which is just an automated way to do the same thing. We deal primarily in Sector level recovery. This is significantly more difficult, but far superior.  We don’t just copy your files, we copy the raw sectors and blocks that contain your files. This typically means 99% or better recovery of your data exactly as you remember it.

I have a flash drive that is physically broken, can you get my data? – Yes, we see this all the time. They are relatively fragile and it is easy to snap the usb port off. Luckily all this does is snap off 4 (relatively) large pins. In most cases it is simple to connect wires to what is left of the pads, connect to a recovery device and get absolutely everything. In the event this is not possible we can remove the memory chip and pull the data directly from that.  It may not seem like it from looking at it, but a broken USB drive is one of the easier jobs we see.  We typically do these recoveries for significantly lower rates than listed above.

My drive makes a clicking, beeping, grinding, etc. noise.  Can you get my data?  – This is indicative of a stuck or damaged head. We maintain head replacement tools for nearly every series of drive from every major manufacturer.  As long there is not significant scratching or gouging of the drive platter we can typically get the data. If you hear these noise, stop trying to use the drive, you cant fix it, and will only make it more difficult for us, and more expensive for you.
